
The Commitment Fee is $600 which covers the cost of uniforms and a $180 deposit towards your Club Fees. These Club Fees cover the cost of professional training sessions and use of the building during normal hours of operation. You will be sent an additional link to start the payments of your remaining club fees at the start of September. The remaining club fees will be automatically charged to your credit card at the beginning of each month, for 6 months, at the rate of $175.50 per month. The payments will start in September.

CLUB FEES:
The club fee is $1,233.00 in total which is paid on the following schedule:
$600 commitment ($420.00 uniform fee, which includes: (2) pants, (2) custom jerseys, (2) game hats, (1) custom 2-year helmet, (1) pair of shorts). (remaining $180.00 goes towards club fee)
(6) Payments of $175.50 per month starting in September. You will be sent a link to sign up and start the automatic payment schedule for these (6) payments.
Club fees must be current to attend winter training and utilize the building during normal hours of operation.
TEAM FEES:
Team fees are independently handled by each team. They will vary from team to team based on the number of players and the tournament schedule set by the coach.

CONTRACT
In exchange for participation in the activity of baseball organized by the Motor City Hit Dogs West Side and /or use of the property, facilities and services of Play at the Cage, Inc., I agree for myself and for the members of my family, to the following:
I agree to observe and obey all posted rules and warnings, and further agree to follow all verbal instruction and/ or direction given by Play at the Cage, Inc., or the employees, representatives or agents of Play at the Cage, Inc.
I agree to pay for all damage to the facilities of Play at the Cage, Inc. caused by my family's negligence, reckless or willful actions.
I agree to pay all club fees in accordance with the outlined payment schedule.
Club fees cover indoor practice days, outdoor fields, professional staff for training days, use of building for hitting on your own etc
Weight Room waiver MUST BE SIGNED BEFORE use.
Club Fees are $1,233.00. / $600 is due upon registration and then $175.50 per month: Sept 1, Oct 1st, Nov 1st, Dec 1st, Jan 1st and Feb 1st. ($600 deposit is non-refundable)
Uniform Package is Included in $600 deposit, which includes 2 game jerseys, 2 pairs of pants, 2 game hats, 1 custom 2- year helmet, and 1 pair of shorts.
All Fees and Costs paid by or on behalf of your player are NON-REFUNDABLE and deemed earned on delivery of payment to Play at the Cage and / or MCHD.
Please Note: You will have additional team fees. The team fee amount is specific to each team and dependent upon equipment needed, amount of tournaments scheduled, umpires for league games, coach’s salary, coaches expenses etc.
It will not be tolerated to make uniforms or spirit wear without the approval of Coach Dishman. Spirt wear will be available through Play at the Cage.
All players must wear turf or gym shoes in the indoor facility. EXPECTATIONS AND RULES:
Players are to always show respect for the game by way of hustle, attitude and respect for umpires, coaches, teammates and opposing teams.
Parents, relatives, and friends attending games: Harassment and/or abuse of the umpires, opposing coaching staff and/or players as well as our own coaching staff and players will not be tolerated. Please show support and respect for all players, umpires, coaching staff and opponents always.
Players, Parents and Spectators must conduct proper behavior in a dugout, during a game and off the field.
Players must contact their Coach and get permission before they can play with another hit dog team.
Players are not allowed to play with another organization besides the hit dogs while they are a hit dog. This does exclude school ball i.e high school and middle school.
Parents are to honor the 24-hour rule. If you have concerns, please remember do not address a coach before, during or immediately after a game or practice.
Players, Parents and Spectators must conduct proper behavior in a dugout, during a game and off the field.
Player Waiver, Release of Liability, Indemnification Agreement
1. ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK.
The undersigned assumes all risks which are foreseeable and involved with or may arise out of his or her voluntary participation in baseball training/practices, scrimmage games, exhibition games, and/or related baseball activities, or his or her child’s voluntary participation in baseball training/practices, scrimmage games, exhibition games, and/or related baseball activities, including, but not limited to, the negligent and or willful and wanton acts of others, the criminal and or intentional acts of others, the omission of an act of another, a defect or condition of the premises, a defect in the vehicles used for transport, or the unavailability of emergency care. The undersigned does not assume the risks of injuries caused by the gross negligence, or willful or wanton misconduct of any officials, officers, employees, or agents of Motor City Hit Dogs / Play at the Cage.
2. RELEASE.
The undersigned releases Motor City Hit Dogs / Play at the Cage and all of its officers, trustees, employees, coaches, volunteers and agents not to initiate litigation on account of or in connection with any claims, causes of action, injuries, illnesses, damages, and/or cost of expenses arising out of the activities involved in baseball training/ practices, scrimmage games, exhibition games, and/or related baseball activities, including, but not limited to, sprains or torn ligaments, tendons, and muscles; broken bones; bruises; concussions; dislocations; cuts; allergic reactions; injuries due to physical contact with other participants, playing surfaces, and equipment; and other physical, mental, and emotional injuries including those claims, causes of action, injuries, illnesses, damages, and/or cost of expenses based on death, bodily injury, or property damage whether or not caused by the negligence or other fault of the parties being released.
3. COVID-19:
I understand the hazards of the novel coronavirus (“COVID-19”) and am familiar with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) guidelines regarding COVID-19. I acknowledge and understand that the circumstances regarding COVID-19 are changing from day to day and that, accordingly, the CDC guidelines are regularly modified and updated and I accept full responsibility for familiarizing myself with the most recent updates. Notwithstanding the risks associated with COVID-19, which I readily acknowledge, I hereby willingly choose to participate/attend in the Activities identified above. I acknowledge and fully assume the risk of illness or death related to COVID-19 arising from my being in or about the Location of Activity/ Program and participating/attending in the Activities and hereby RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE (on my behalf and any minor children for whom I have the capacity to contract) Motor City Hit Dogs / Play at the Cage, their officers, directors, agents, employees, coaches, volunteers, and assigns from any liability related to COVID-19 which might occur as a result of my participation/attendance in the Activities.
4. WAIVER.
The undersigned waives the protection afforded by any statute or law in any jurisdiction whose purpose, substance, cause and/or effect is to provide that a general release shall not extend to claims, material or otherwise, which the person giving the release does not know or suspect to exist at the time of executing this release. This means, in part, that the undersigned is releasing unknown future claims.
5. INDEMNITY AND DEFEND. The undersigned agrees to indemnify and defend Motor City Hit Dogs and all of its officers, trustees, employees, coaches, volunteers and agents (hereinafter jointly referred to as “indemnitee”) against, and hold them harmless from, any and all claims, causes of action, damages to or destruction of any property of the indemnitee or any others, infection of COVID-19 or any other illness, injury or death that may result to the undersigned, the undersigned’s child, or anyone else.
6. MEDICAL CARE.
I understand and agree that Motor City Hit Dogs may not be able to provide medical personnel at all times. I hereby give my consent to an officer, trustee, employee, coach, volunteer and/or agent to provide me with medical assistance and/or treatment in the event of an emergency. I also agree to allow Motor City Hit Dogs / Play at the Cage to share any and all medical information about me with any party called to assist in my care. Finally, I agree to save and hold harmless and indemnify Motor City Hit Dogs / Play at the Cage from all liability, loss, cost, claim, lawsuit, or damage, whatsoever, including injury, death, or property damage, which may be imposed upon Motor City Hit Dogs / Play at the Cage because of any defect in or lack of such capacity to so act or caused, or alleged to be caused, in whole, or in part, by the negligence of the released parties.
7. JURISDICTION/VENUE/GOVERNING LAW:
The protections provided by this Assumption of Risk, Waiver, and Release from Liability only enhance those protections already provided by the laws of the State of Michigan. This Assumption of Risk, Waiver and Release from Liability shall be construed and enforced according to the laws of the State of Michigan, and any action to enforce any provision contained herein shall be brought exclusively in the State of Michigan.
8. SEVERABILITY.
If any provision of this Agreement is prohibited, invalidated, or unenforceable in any jurisdiction, that provision will, as to that jurisdiction, be ineffective to the extent of the prohibition, invalidity or unenforceability without invalidating the remaining provisions of this Agreement or affecting the validity or enforceability of that provision in any other jurisdiction, unless it materially alters the nature or material terms of this Agreement.
9. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT.
THE UNDERSIGNED HAS READ AND UNDERSTANDS THIS AGREEMENT AND REALIZES IT RELATES TO SURRENDERING AND RELEASING VALUABLE LEGAL RIGHTS AND DOES SO FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY. MOREOVER, THE UNDERSIGNED UNDERSTANDS THAT HIS OR HER PARTICIPATION/ATTENDANCE IN THE ABOVE NOTED ACTIVITIES OR HIS OR HER CHILD’S PARTICIPATION/ATTENDANCE IN THE ABOVE NOTED PROGRAM IS VOLUNTARY. No claims shall be made for any reason.
In consideration of the opportunity to participate in athletic and/or baseball related training with PLAY AT THE CAGE, including all physical activities, workouts, weight lifting, or use of any equipment, collectively hereinafter “The Activities”, I hereby agree to the following Waiver and Release of Liability (Agreement):
1. Waiver and Release of Liability: My participation in The Activities is voluntary and subjects me to the possibility of physical injury (which could be minimal, serious, and/or result in death) and loss of or damage to my property (collectively, Risks). Accordingly, I agree to the following:
a. I hereby release and hold harmless PLAY AT THE CAGE AND MOTOR CITY HIT DOGS WEST, its officers, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, and contractors (collectively, Releasees) from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damages, and attorney fees and costs whatsoever arising from, related to, or resulting from these Risks (Claims), including those caused by the negligent acts or omissions of any or all of the Releasees.
b. I recognize the physical exertion involved in The Activities and attest and certify that I am physically fit to compete safely, and I have not been advised otherwise by a health care professional.
c. As between each of the Releasees and me, I will be solely responsible for any and all medical and related bills that I may incur because of any injury, as well as costs related to loss or damage to my property, that I may sustain as a result of my participation in The Activities, including those sustained on the premises where The Activities is conducted and while I am traveling to and from such premises, regardless of the location or mode of transportation.
d. This Agreement shall be binding on my estate, heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns, as well as any other party asserting a Claim on my behalf or on behalf of my estate.
2. General Provisions:
a. I hereby expressly agree that (1) this Agreement shall be governed and construed according to the laws of the state of Michigan without regard to its conflict of laws provisions and (2) any action or proceeding concerning any Claim or the meaning or effect of any provision of the Agreement shall be conducted only in the federal or state courts located in Ann, Michigan, and that for such purposes, I expressly submit to the jurisdiction of such courts.
Player’s Code of Conduct and Travel Player Commitment
It is the purpose and intent of the Motor City Hit Dogs to create and offer quality learning and baseball playing opportunities. The following CODE OF CONDUCT AGREEMENT is constructed as an instrument to emphasize those values, principles, and beliefs which are central to the foundation, structure, and operation of the Motor City Hit Dogs.
Players will refrain from unsportsmanlike gestures, talk, language, or profanity. Players will not taunt or tease players on the opposing team.
All players will show respect towards the umpires and their decisions. All decisions made by the umpires are to be accepted as final. No player should argue a call or judgment. Only the Manager and Coaches should be questioning calls and judgments.
No team member shall throw his bat, helmet, glove or any object in disgust on or off the playing field at any time.
Accept the coaches’ decision regarding playing positions and the amount of playing time. I understand that this is a Travel Team and there are no guarantees for equal playing time or position.
Coaches are to be respected at all times.
Understand that any violations may result in a game suspension. Player must attend and sit on the bench for the suspended game(s) in jersey and hat.
Understand that the Motor City Hit Dogs Travel Baseball Program reserves the right to release any player from the team for poor sportsmanship by the player and/or the players’ family during games or for other reasons to include but are not limited to lack of cooperation, poor attitude, and lack of commitment, effort or attendance.
All players will follow the guidelines set forth for the team and the program.
Understand that the coach may impose additional rules, guidelines and/or policies that I am required to follow and failure to comply with the rules, guidelines and/or policies is a violation of your commitment.
You are committed to the Motor City Hit Dogs Travel Team for the duration of the teams’ season. You are not allowed to be on another team’s roster unless you have obtained approval from the Motor City Hit Dogs Travel Program. Any violation of this rule will result in immediate removal from the Motor City Hit Dogs Team and all monies collected will not be refunded.
Parents' Code of Conduct and Parent/Guardian Commitment
Obey all rules and regulations of the Motor City Hit Dogs Travel Baseball program.
Use of tobacco or alcohol is strictly prohibited around the players and facilities. Anyone caught in violation will face suspension or possible removal from the program.
Refrain from giving the players instructions during the game - allow the coaches to manage the team and game and refrain from dugout visits.
Get your player to practice and games on time.
Do not ridicule or yell at your player for making a mistake or for losing a game.
Do not publicly question an umpire’s judgment and never their honesty. Accept the umpires’ decision as final and respect the fact that they too make mistakes.
Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from youth sporting activities.
If you have a problem/conflict with the Manager or Coaches, do not approach them during or after a game. Call the coach to discuss the matter or set a meeting with the Manager or coach to discuss the matter.
Accept the coaches’ decision regarding playing positions and the amount of playing time. I understand that this is a Travel Team and there are no guarantees for equal playing time or position.
Understand that the Motor City Hit Dogs Travel Baseball Program reserves the right to release any player from the team for poor sportsmanship by the player and/or the player’s family during games or for other reasons to include but are not limited to lack of cooperation, poor attitude, and lack of commitment, effort or attendance.
Understand that any removal of your player and/or a family member from a game will result in a one (1) game minimum suspension for the player and your family. Player must attend and sit on the bench for the two suspended games in shorts/pants, jersey and hat.
If a player is dismissed from practice the manager has the discretion to suspend the player for a minimum of 1 game.
Understand that the coach may impose additional rules, guidelines and/or policies that I am required to follow and failure to comply with the rules, guidelines and/or policies is a violation of your commitment.
All monies collected will not be refunded if player is separated from the Motor City Hit Dogs for any reason.
Penalty for non-compliance:
If an ejection occurs (player or family member), it will be the discretion of the coaching staff to determine punishment, up to and including suspension for a maximum of 3 games. If a player is ejected a second time or acts out physically towards another individual, they will not be allowed to attend any Motor City Hit Dogs sports activity for the remainder of the travel season and all monies collected will not be refunded.
